Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
- one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve conflicts diplomatically
- flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Michigan Gaming Control Board Occupational License Level 2
- ability to read and communicate verbally in English
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
- ability to qualify for required federal, state, and local licenses and permits
- physical ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds, push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel and balance
- willingness to work in noisy environments and exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke

Job Duties
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings
- prepare and communicate daily shift reports
- assist in creating effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives
- assist in managing the division's annual budget and objectives
- actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service
- ensure procedures are followed to minimize losses and maximize profits
- assist with posting charges and settling folios
- address and manage complaints and concerns
- respond to inquiries about hotel policies and resolve guest challenges
- assist Hotel Manager in overseeing hotel operations including front desk, bell service, and reservations
- ensure cleanliness and orderliness of front desk, offices, and lobby areas
- assist in inspection of projects for satisfactory results
- maintain master and direct bill accounts
- manage daily arrivals and departures in reservation system
- assist in managing hotel reservation and inventory systems and loading rates
- make recommendations on hotel policies and services
- set room rates and policies
- order supplies maintaining par levels
- develop and maintain safety programs
- train hotel team members in OSHA standards
- maintain confidentiality
- perform all other assigned duties
- manage staff development and training programs
- oversee rewards and recognition programs
- create various reports
- evaluate team members and deliver feedback
- perform marketing-related duties and issue comps
