Job Requirements

  • Education or equivalent work experience in hospitality or related field
  • Experience in hotel supervisory or management roles for a minimum of 3 years
  • Knowledge of Marriott brand standards preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with property management systems
  • Physical ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and quickly maneuver throughout the hotel
  • Fluency in English with effective speaking, reading, and writing skills
  • Commitment to excellent guest service and problem resolution

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of hotel supervisory or management experience
  • Marriott Brand experience strongly preferred
  • Full operational knowledge of property management system
  • Positive role model for staff and co-workers
  • Flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute scheduling changes
  • Ability to adjust energy level to fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage associates and guests
  • Detail oriented in supervising staff, facility inspection, and completing assignments

Job Duties

  • Provide vision for the staff by promoting company and brand standards
  • Interview, hire and onboard new staff to meet the highest levels of guest service
  • Ensure new associates participate in new-hire orientation and proper job-related training as well as ongoing training requirements
  • Schedule staff for appropriate levels of service that drive guest satisfaction yet maintain profitability
  • Fill in whatever capacity is needed during unexpected surges in occupancy or other staffing shortages
  • Coach and mentor staff to facilitate high associate satisfaction
  • Process daily deposits and make collection calls to customers with direct billing approval
  • Identify and take action to drive incremental revenue during high demand times through yield management
  • Conduct daily and weekly facility inspections and address cleanliness and maintenance issues
  • Review daily audit reports for accuracy and investigate any irregularities
  • Provide feedback to staff during meetings about guest survey scores, associate survey scores, financial goals/budgets, and operational issues
  • Interact with guests to resolve complaints to their satisfaction
