Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of direct hotel sales experience
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and email
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with hotel staff
  • College degree or equivalent sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Flexible availability including weekends
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work indoors and travel for client meetings and events

Job Qualifications

  • Direct hotel sales experience required
  • Knowledge of general sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Skilled in electronic communications such as email
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player across all hotel staff levels
  • Excellent guest relations skills
  • College degree or equivalent sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customers and close deals
  • Good judgment and high ethical standards
  • Flexible schedule including weekends

Job Duties

  • Achieve productivity and activity goals through appointment-oriented sales calls
  • Maximize key accounts by maintaining close contact through calls, appointments, and client functions
  • Capture new accounts through research, networking, telemarketing, and outside sales calls
  • Manage and maintain accurate, organized client files and customer profiles
  • Participate in associate functions, client events, and community events
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the business plan with hotel leadership
  • Qualify leads from tele-prospecting, cold calls, and other sources
  • Participate in joint sales calls with corporate and hotel management
  • Actively engage in revenue management and marketing calls
  • Assist with rate and service decisions
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Complete and submit sales call reports
  • Exhibit professionalism and maintain open communication with all departments
  • Build and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, clients, and local community
  • Represent the hotel and company with integrity and professionalism
