Job Duties
- Assist with tray assembly, preparation of special diet needs (puree meals, supplements, or non-patient services)
- Know basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparation, and holding of food items
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures, including HAACP guidelines
- Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Food and Nutrition Supervisor, Group Leaders, and food service team peers
- Show a willingness to assist in other areas of the kitchen (e.g., cold prep, bakery, store room, café serving line, dish room, or tray line)
- Comply with hospital standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and legal standards
