- Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production experience
- ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers

Job Duties
- Prepares all hot food items for patient and non-patient food services following production plans and recipes
- assists in tray assembly and preparing special diet meals including puree meals and supplements
- knows basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparation and holding of food items
- demonstrates working knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures
- adheres to HAACP guidelines
- communicates properly regarding patient, non-patient or department needs to supervisors and team members
- assists in other areas of the kitchen such as cold prep, bakery, store room, café serving line, dish room or tray line when needed
- maintains regular and punctual attendance
- complies with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
