Job Duties
- Prepares hot food items for patient and non-patient food services following production plans and recipes
- Assists in tray assembly and preparation of special diet meals including puree meals and supplements
- Applies basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparing, and holding of food items
- Demonstrates working knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures adhering to HACCP guidelines
- Communicates effectively with the Executive Chef, Food & Nutrition Supervisor, group leaders, and peers to meet department needs
- Helps in other kitchen areas such as cold prep, bakery, storeroom, cafe serving line, dish room, or tray line as necessary
- Maintains attendance and punctuality consistent with hospital policies and applicable laws
- Complies with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
