Job Requirements

  • Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production experience
  • ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • willingness to adhere to health and safety guidelines including HAACP
  • ability to work varied shifts
  • dependable and punctual with consistent attendance

Job Duties

  • Assists in tray assembly and preparation of special diet needs including puree meals and supplements
  • knows and applies basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparing and holding food items
  • demonstrates working knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures
  • adheres to HAACP guidelines
  • communicates patient, non-patient or departmental food service needs effectively to supervisors and peers
  • helps other kitchen areas such as cold prep, bakery, store room, café serving line, dish room or tray line as necessary
  • maintains punctual attendance and complies with Orlando Health policies
