Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2+ years of professional kitchen experience
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Proficiency with kitchen equipment and tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of nyc health department codes

Job Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience of restaurant hospitality and fine dining
  • 1-2+ yrs professional kitchen experience
  • Owns sharp knives and kitchen tools
  • Willingness to learn and retain knowledge
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
  • Understanding of nyc health department codes

Job Duties

  • Works all stations on the hot line
  • Can work all cold stations and assist in prep
  • Prepares mise-en-place for workstation on the kitchen line
  • Maintains accurate prep lists
  • Inspects and tastes all of ingredients for quality control
  • Presents excellent food for service
  • Coordinates pick-ups and plating with other cooks and Chefs
  • Communicates with Chefs and other cooks before, during and after service
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area and maintains designated cooler space
  • Other duties as assigned
