Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Food knowledge related to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and customer interactions
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods
- Ability to immerse hands frequently in water and chemical solutions
- Capability to work with sharp kitchen tools and hot equipment
- Ability to work in hot environments
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a high volume or casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
- Familiarity with soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry station cooking
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Capability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
- Physical ability to handle up to 40 pounds and work in hot kitchen conditions
Job Duties
- Prepares cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Seasons, cooks, tastes, carves, and serves food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
- Communicates ticket times and issues to management and servers
- Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
- Operates kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients such as washing and cutting fruits and vegetables
- Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks the temperature of products
