Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand during work
  • Ability to work in hot environments
  • Ability to handle sharp knives and utensils
  • Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and chemical solutions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Food knowledge related to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with customers
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods at various stations such as Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and issues to managers and servers
  • Follow recipes and product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
  • Taste products and check menus to estimate food requirements
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation standards complying with HACCP
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
