Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Coach and train team members on hot food preparation and standards
  • Liaise with management to ensure appropriate hot food training is planned and conducted
  • Conduct hot food team briefs and attend relevant meetings and courses
  • Ensure all hot food training materials are available and up to date
  • Follow Pret's dress code and maintain the correct Hot Chef uniform
  • Prepare and display hot food according to Pret's planograms and standards
  • Maintain high quality and appropriate availability of hot food throughout the day
  • Manage new hot food product launches effectively and on time
  • Ensure hot food is cooked and held at correct temperatures with accurate and timely recording
  • Follow hot food production setting standards and production principles
  • Adhere to all kitchen health and safety and food safety standards
  • Take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself, team, and customers
  • Complete all required training and follow Pret's safety processes
  • Report any concerns about standards or processes to your Manager
  • Prepare and set up hot food equipment daily
  • Test, clean, and maintain hot food equipment according to Pret standards
  • Report any equipment maintenance issues to a Manager
  • Train team members to use hot food equipment effectively
  • Communicate with management to organize fresh hot food sampling
  • Monitor hot food sales performance
  • Ensure sufficient stock of hot food ingredients, packaging, and smallwares
