Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous work experience as a host is preferred
  • working knowledge of OpenTable and Point of Sale is preferred
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
  • must be able to handle guest incidents/complaints

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner as they arrive at the restaurant
  • seat guests efficiently, manage seating chart, and ensure optimal flow of diners
  • provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
  • manage reservations using OpenTable
  • answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries courteously
  • receive, process, and manage takeout and delivery orders
  • assemble and package orders paying attention to packaging techniques to avoid spills, leaks, or damage during transportation
  • process payments for takeout orders, including cash, credit/debit, and digital payment methods
  • ensure accurate cash handling and proper reconciliation of sales at the end of each shift
  • perform other duties and tasks as assigned
