Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • capability to manage waitlist and seating arrangements
  • proficiency with computer seating systems
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
  • commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • ability to carry natural conversation with guests

Job Duties

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
  • escort them to assigned dining area
  • present menus
  • announce waiter’s name
  • use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
  • answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
  • manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas
  • provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
  • tend to special guest needs and requests
  • observe guests’ needs throughout dining experience
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
  • issue dining charges by verifying orders
  • calculate taxes
  • total bill for to-go orders
  • receive payments by validating credit charges
  • approve checks
  • accept currency
  • calculate and issue change for to-go orders
  • reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions
  • list checks and credit card charges for to-go orders
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
