Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Team player mentality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests
  • Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival
  • Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests to tables that best serve their wishes
  • Promote and act in a manner consistent with the mission of SERG Restaurant Group
  • Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating
  • Record guest names and party size and provide estimated waiting times when necessary
  • Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation to ensure servers receive appropriate seatings
  • Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls
  • Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, and serving staff to ensure dining details are handled properly and concerns addressed
  • Inform guests of establishment specialties
  • Receive and record dining reservations
  • Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and supplies and clean when necessary
  • Relay messages to servers and bussers
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and support restaurant operations
  • Fill in for fellow employees to ensure guest service and efficient operations
  • Take and prepare to-go orders
  • Operate cash registers to accept payments
  • Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages
