Job Requirements
- Greeting guests quickly and courteously with a smile
- Remaining at the hostess stand unless seating a table
- Providing guests with menus and informing them of their server's name
- Assigning tables according to rotation and guest needs
- Accommodating special guest needs and communicating them to staff
- Assisting dining room staff during rush periods by clearing and cleaning tables
- Taking to-go orders and preparing them for pickup or delivery
- Practicing proper phone etiquette
- Able to stand and work on feet for eight or more hours
- No prior restaurant experience required but helpful
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Flexible to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Friendly and confident demeanor
- Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods
- Knowledge of restaurant procedures and customer service best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Answer phone calls, take carry out orders, seat guests, manage a wait list
- Control the flow of the business using multitasking skills
- Learn and educate guests about the restaurant location, menu items, daily specials, policies, and procedures
- Assist servers and coordinate with dining room staff
- Embrace teamwork and treat all staff and guests with respect
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and guests to ensure smooth operation
- Maintain a poised attitude and a friendly, welcoming demeanor
