Job Requirements
- Greeting guests quickly and courteously with a smile
- Required to be at the hostess stand at all times unless seating a table
- Providing guests with menus and server names upon seating
- Assigning guests to appropriate tables according to rotation
- Accommodating special guest needs and communicating them to staff
- Assisting dining staff by clearing and cleaning tables during rush periods
- Taking to-go orders and preparing them for pickup or delivery
- Practicing polite phone etiquette
- Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods
- No prior restaurant experience required but helpful
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Able to stand and work on feet for a minimum of eight hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Answering phone calls, taking carry out orders, seating guests, managing a wait list
- Controlling the flow of restaurant business through effective multitasking
- Educating guests about the restaurant's phone number, location, menu items, specials, policies, and procedures
- Assisting servers and other dining staff during peak periods
- Greeting guests quickly and courteously with confidence and poise
- Assigning guests to tables based on their needs and server rotation
- Communicating special guest needs to appropriate staff
