Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills
  • able to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • good judgment and decision making abilities
  • able to spend 100 percent of working time standing, walking, and reaching
  • able to push, pull and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally
  • able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching
  • able to climb ladders, stairs, and ramps
  • able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds frequently
  • able to communicate clearly in the restaurant's primary language
  • able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Greet customers with a personable, genuine, and upbeat greeting
  • control the flow of traffic and maintain a clean atmosphere
  • perform the role of a host
  • know menu details, drink specials, and chalkboard specials
  • open and hold doors for customers
  • manage seating and monitor wait times
  • guide customers to tables at a comfortable pace
  • hand clean menus to customers and explain specials
  • communicate throughout the restaurant
  • provide excellent customer service
  • assist busser by clearing or wiping tables
  • assist servers by refilling beverages
  • assist bartenders with carry-out orders
  • complete assigned opening, ongoing, and closing sidework
  • maintain a safe, sanitary, and secure environment
  • notify managers of customer complaints
  • remain calm at all times
  • perform other tasks as assigned by management
