Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in food production, service, sanitation and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to prioritize workload
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Capacity to handle stressful situations with residents and staff
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently
Physical ability to assist in lifting residents with help
Knowledge of safety data sheets location and guidelines
Commitment to community policies and procedures
Positive and motivating leadership qualities

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with food production and service, sanitation, and safety
Previous supervisory experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents and staff
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational, motivational, and leadership skills
Ability to work under stress and manage conflict constructively
Demonstrated compassion and genuine care for the elderly
Knowledge of hazardous material guidelines and safety procedures
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and resident rights
Positive attitude and professionalism at all times

Job Duties

Ensures adequate daily coverage provided by Health Services staff and other assigned staff for meal service by communicating with community leadership
Assists Culinary Services Director with training Health Services staff on technical issues and policies
Attends staff meetings as required by leadership
Directs resident, family, and guest feedback to community leadership
Oversees pre-service and post-service dining room tasks and delegates to Health Service staff
Assigns sections and tables to Health Services staff ensuring timely service
Manages cleaning, preparation, and resetting of dining room and tables in restaurant-style appearance
Oversees drink station and salad bar setup according to policies
Takes meal orders and ensures excellent customer service
Monitors drink refills according to resident and guest requests
Serves residents and guests ensuring choices are met
Manages guest reservations and prepares private dining room when needed
Ensures completion of cleaning checklists and responsibilities
Organizes room tray set up and delivery as needed
Maintains confidentiality of resident information and upholds resident rights
Maintains professional appearance and a positive, nurturing environment
Practices honesty and integrity in all aspects
Performs other duties as assigned
