Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, responsive service to guests
  • warmly greet and welcome guests on arrival
  • manage efficient and timely seating of guests
  • promote and act in line with SERG Restaurant Group mission
  • open front doors for guests when possible
  • provide guests menus and server information
  • record guest names and party size
  • provide estimated wait times
  • assign guests to suitable tables
  • communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries
  • maintain contact with kitchen, management, and serving staff
  • inform guests of establishment specialties
  • manage dining reservations
  • inspect and clean restrooms when necessary
  • relay messages to staff
  • thank guests and invite them to return
  • attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
  • coordinate with and assist fellow employees
  • fill in for employees as needed
  • take and prepare to-go orders
  • operate cash registers
  • assist with food and beverage preparation and service
