Job Requirements

- prior customer service experience preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to multitask and work under pressure

- basic knowledge of cash register operation

Job Duties
- Provide friendly, responsive service to guests
- warmly greet and welcome guests on arrival
- manage efficient and timely seating of guests
- promote and act in line with SERG Restaurant Group mission
- open front doors for guests when possible
- provide guests menus and server information
- record guest names and party size
- provide estimated wait times
- assign guests to suitable tables
- communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction
- answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries
- maintain contact with kitchen, management, and serving staff
- inform guests of establishment specialties
- manage dining reservations
- inspect and clean restrooms when necessary
- relay messages to staff
- thank guests and invite them to return
- attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
- coordinate with and assist fellow employees
- fill in for employees as needed
- take and prepare to-go orders
- operate cash registers
- assist with food and beverage preparation and service
