Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED recommended
  • Some college experience or degree recommended
  • Minimum of one year host or related experience required

Job Qualifications

  • Energetic enthusiastic and motivated individual
  • Must be able to speak comprehend read and write English
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Ability to implement and uphold service standards
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
  • Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival at the cocktail lounge
  • Assist guests with seating arrangements considering their preferences and group size
  • Manage the waitlist during peak hours providing accurate wait time estimates and keeping guests informed
  • Maintain a tidy and organized hostess station including menus reservation books and seating charts
  • Communicate effectively with servers and bartenders to coordinate seating assignments and ensure timely service
  • Monitor the flow of guests anticipating and addressing potential service issues or guest concerns
  • Assist with answering phone calls taking reservations and providing information about the lounge and resort amenities
