Job Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience preferred
- previous experience with restaurant reservation system or Open Table preferred
- must be 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- must obtain a Food Handlers certificate from County Health Department
- ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity
- must pass background check
- must present a neat and professional appearance
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- works well with others including servers, bartenders, cooks, and supervisors
Job Duties
- Greet guests cheerfully in person and on the phone
- seat guests in a timely manner
- manage reservations including recording, confirming, and communicating special requests
- coordinate with kitchen and management staff regarding guest needs and upcoming reservations
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area and menus
- assist in booking and arranging large party events
- monitor and stock the retail merchandise area
- communicate effectively with server staff and door staff to ensure fair table distribution
- follow all safety and standard operating procedures
- perform other related duties as assigned
