Job Qualifications

  • Previous host/hostess experience preferred
  • previous experience with restaurant reservation system or Open Table preferred
  • must be 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • must obtain a Food Handlers certificate from County Health Department
  • ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity
  • must pass background check
  • must present a neat and professional appearance
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • works well with others including servers, bartenders, cooks, and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Greet guests cheerfully in person and on the phone
  • seat guests in a timely manner
  • manage reservations including recording, confirming, and communicating special requests
  • coordinate with kitchen and management staff regarding guest needs and upcoming reservations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area and menus
  • assist in booking and arranging large party events
  • monitor and stock the retail merchandise area
  • communicate effectively with server staff and door staff to ensure fair table distribution
  • follow all safety and standard operating procedures
  • perform other related duties as assigned
