Job Requirements

- experience in restaurant or customer service environment preferred
- strong communication skills

- basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties
- Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival
- manage efficient and timely seating of guests to appropriate tables
- promote and act in a manner consistent with the SERG Restaurant Group mission
- provide guests with menus and inform them of server names
- record guest names and party sizes and provide estimated wait times
- assign guests to tables according to needs and server rotation
- ensure guest satisfaction by speaking with them during their visit
- answer telephone calls and respond or transfer inquiries
- maintain communication with kitchen, management, and serving staff to address dining details and concerns
- inform guests about establishment specialties and features
- receive and record dining reservations
- inspect and maintain restroom cleanliness and supplies
- relay messages to servers and bussers
- thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
- attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
- coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs
- fill in for fellow employees to ensure service standards
- take and prepare to-go orders
- operate cash registers and accept payments
- assist with preparing and serving food and beverages
