Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in hospitality or a related field preferred
  • flexibility to work long or variable hours
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds frequently
  • capacity to stand for entire shift
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanor
  • adherence to hotel policies and standards
  • regular attendance
  • problem-solving skills
  • willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • ability to stand during entire shift
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • ability to handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving them
  • show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
  • be attentive of guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
  • assist cashier in collection of money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed
  • know how to prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
  • pay out servers' and service attendants' tips if appropriate
  • know how to properly take reservations for outlets
  • ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
