Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Capability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation schedules so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
  • Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed
  • Receive and manage reservations ahead of service each event
  • Ensure all food and beverage is properly delivered and/or stored
  • Be knowledgeable on all menu offerings
  • Follow setup and breakdown processes efficiently
  • Understand all event paperwork and reports
  • Establish rapport with guests and understand suggestive and upselling techniques
  • Adhere to location appearance guidelines
  • Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Employ good safety and sanitation practices
  • Follow responsible alcohol service policies
  • Understand the importance of maintaining equipment and execute accordingly
  • Thoroughly complete all event setup and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided
  • Perform post event product inventory and restock as needed
  • Help fellow employees whenever necessary
  • Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
