Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum of 1 year customer service experience preferred
- read, write, understand and speak English fluently
- bilingual in English, Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing
- able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded and noisy environment
- able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance and dress standards
- must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum of 1 year customer service experience preferred
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
- ability to work efficiently in fast-paced and noisy environments
- capable of maintaining a professional and neat appearance
- ability to work as a positive team player
- knowledge of casino regulations and restaurant policies is an asset
Job Duties
- Engages in conversations using the 10/5 rule and uses the guests name at least twice during the transaction
- provides fast, friendly and efficient customer service
- answers the phone with proper etiquette and takes reservations following restaurant policies
- coordinates, rotates, documents restaurant seating and walks guests to tables suitable for their needs
- provides guests with menus, folds out napkins, and hands them their menus
- offers guests additional information such as specials or soup of the day
- inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- maintains a clean, neat, and organized work area including wiping down menus
- approaches guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service and responds to complaints
- promotes casino and resort special events
- assists wait staff and bus persons by refilling glasses, coffee cups, pre-setting and bussing tables
- completes required closing job duties at the end of shift
- thanks guests for their business and welcomes them back
- recognizes VIPs and relays information to assigned servers
