Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year hosting experience in restaurant environment
  • ability to work required shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
  • effective multitasking skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Host/Hostess within restaurants
  • experience in luxury or fine dining a plus
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of restaurant seating software a plus
  • friendly and professional demeanor
  • strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
  • seat guests and manage the seating chart
  • monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • assist others with side work including cleaning, stocking, folding silverware
  • ensure knowledge of menu
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • assist fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships
