Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff and management
- Strong organizational skills for managing reservations
- Ability to remember and use guests' names
- Knowledge of policies, service standards, and procedures
- Ability to promote casino events and property services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policies
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to perform repetitive reaching and stooping
- Visual ability to provide accurate guest service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle intoxicated guests professionally
Job Qualifications
- Previous host or hostess experience preferred
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems or Open Table preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Food Handlers certificate required
- Ability to demonstrate high integrity and professional appearance
- Passing a background check
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work professionally with customers and team members
Job Duties
- Greeting guests cheerfully in person and on the phone
- Seating guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Managing reservation system and confirming bookings
- Communicating reservations and guest needs to kitchen and management
- Coordinating large parties with Lead Host
- Overseeing cleanliness and organization of host area
- Monitoring and maintaining Gordon Ramsay merchandise retail area
