Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Must be friendly, courteous, and attentive
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Availability to work full-time
- Knowledge of state liquor laws preferred
- Must maintain proper grooming and uniform standards
- Ability to handle guest concerns effectively
- Willingness to perform assigned sidework and operational tasks
- Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality
- Capable of showing initiative and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with guests and employees
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
- Maintain proper uniform and grooming
- Compliance with hotel operational safety standards
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Be attentive to guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- Assist cashier in collection of money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed
- Prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
- Pay out servers' and service attendants' tips if appropriate
- Take reservations for dining outlets
- Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
- Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklist
- Have complete knowledge of standards for receiving room service orders
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments
- Assist servers and cashiers in guest services as needed
- Know and understand state liquor laws
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
