Job Requirements

  • Must have experience in assisted living or skilled care facility or home health care
  • willing to motivate and encourage residents to participate
  • valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents safely
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • good interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to assist and supervise activities
  • basic knowledge of resident care documentation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in assisted living or skilled care facility or home health care
  • ability to motivate and encourage residents to participate
  • strong communication skills
  • compassionate and dependable nature
  • ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Plan and implement activities focused on the emotional well-being of residents
  • direct and perform activities, social hours, outings and events
  • plan and schedule entertainers and entertainment parties
  • transport residents to and from and during activities using facility vehicle
  • complete resident assessment documentation upon move-in and bi-annually
  • assist in monitoring residents for change in condition and changes of needs
  • address resident concerns, requests and complaints or grievances
  • serve as backup receptionist as needed
  • recruit and train volunteers and maintain volunteer database
