Job Requirements

- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Basic knowledge of cash handling and reservation systems

Job Duties
- Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests
- Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival
- Manage efficient and timely seating of guests to appropriate tables
- Promote and act in accordance with the SERG Restaurant Group mission
- Open the front door for guests entering or leaving when possible
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of servers' names upon seating
- Record guest names and party size, provide estimated waiting times when needed
- Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to seating rotation
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls
- Maintain communication with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to address concerns
- Inform guests of establishment specialties and features
- Receive and record dining reservations
- Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and supply availability, clean when necessary
- Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Attend employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and restaurant operations
- Fill in for colleagues to maintain service standards
- Take and prepare to-go orders
- Operate cash registers for payment processing
- Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages
