Job Requirements

  • Prior food and beverage industry experience preferred
  • prior guest relations training
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • positive, upbeat attitude and personality
  • punctuality and reliable attendance
  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other team members
  • ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
  • must be willing to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure the proper setup of dining room
  • promptly greet guests and patrons personally as they enter the establishment
  • escort guests and patrons to their table
  • present menus, make recommendations and take orders if necessary
  • ensure dining room seating is controlled and that there is server parity in number of tables
  • liaise between staff and guests to ensure guest needs, as well as expectations are exceeded
  • anticipate and address guests' service needs
