Job Requirements

At least six months of experience in a full-service restaurant
verbal and written English language skills
ability to read, speak and understand English
excellent communication skills
excellent organizational skills
excellent guest service skills
ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours
ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds

Job Duties

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible
record guest names and number of people in party when immediate seating is limited
call out the name and number of the party when tables become available
provide guests with estimated waiting time
accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations
offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name upon seating
inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness
keep accurate guest count to ensure proper and efficient seating rotation
relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed
thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
