Job Requirements

16+ years old
Reliable transportation required
Ability to wipe down table tops and booth seats
Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
Ability to carry and transport plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
Good sense of balance, ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel
Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
Ability to manage waitlist and guest seating
Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
Ability to perform light cleaning duties
Must be able to follow manager instructions
Ability to communicate professionally
Ability to build positive guest relationships

Job Qualifications

Friendly and engaging demeanor
Prior work experience preferred
Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
Bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties

Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments
Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
Remains visible in the front of house and facing the main entrance
Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
Completes assigned opening and closing side work as directed
Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery method
Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Ability to explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Ability to drive sales with suggestive selling
Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, or wheelchair access
Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
May occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server capacity
Fills out feature sheets accurately
Assists in general front of house maintenance functions including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning such as dusting fixtures, washing and wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
