Job Requirements

  • Showcases a warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor to guests
  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
  • Follows Miller's Ale House policies in all respects including time recording requirements such as clocking in and out
  • Greets guests in a warm and friendly manner while acknowledging all guests within five feet
  • Seats guests based on their seating preference when possible
  • Rotates seating with different servers to ensure even workloads and prompt service
  • Provides departing guests with a warm salutation thanking them and inviting them to return
  • Supports service team members in bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables as needed
  • Supports other front of house team members to ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly
  • Manages guest placement within the entrance area to enhance experience and ensure safety
  • Provides accurate wait times and recommends waiting options
  • Answers incoming restaurant calls in a friendly, professional manner
  • Maintains a neat and organized workstation and entrance area
  • Completes tasks on the host opening and closing sidework charts
  • Ensures restrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked
  • Communicates with team members and management to keep others informed
  • Ensures side work completion and stations are properly stocked
  • Notifies management immediately of potential issues with guests, team members, or long wait times
  • Washes hands every 20 minutes throughout shift
  • Maintains clean and sanitized work areas
  • Works with team members to enforce safety and sanitation protocols
  • Supports other front-of-house functions recognizing impact on guest experience
  • Exhibits friendly disposition and attentiveness
  • Positively communicates with team and management
  • Possesses strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to complete all tasks to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Basic reading and handwriting skills
  • Ability to operate seating software
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Sets up team members for success at shift change
  • Remains standing and walking for extended periods
  • Able to reach, bend, squat, lift up to 20 lbs
  • Able to work with varying noise levels
  • Able to frequently communicate in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Job Qualifications

  • Basic reading and handwriting skills with the ability to operate the restaurant's front door seating software
  • Exhibits friendly disposition and attentiveness to guests
  • Possesses strong communication skills and ability to work alone and with a team
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to complete all tasks to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age unless otherwise dictated by state law
