Job Duties

Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
opens doors for arriving and departing guests
remains visible in the front-of-house and faces the main entrance
occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
maintains a clean and organized work area
explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drives sales through suggestive selling techniques
accommodates special guest needs such as booster chairs and high chairs
manages the waitlist during busy periods
may be scheduled to serve guests in Carside To-Go or Server roles occasionally
fills out feature sheets accurately
assists in general front-of-house maintenance including restroom upkeep, light cleaning tasks, washing or wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
