Job Duties

Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the dining area
Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
Remains visible in the front of house and facing the main entrance
Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
Completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery method
Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Drives sales with suggestive selling
Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or Server roles as scheduled
Fills out feature sheets
Assists in general front of house maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning, washing windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
