Job Requirements
- 16 plus years old
- reliable transportation required
- ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris, and wipe down booth seats
- ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets multiple times per shift
- mobility required during entire shift
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
- good sense of balance with ability to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel
- frequently lift and bus pans and trays often weighing up to 25 pounds
- ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and staff
- able to carry objects such as high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds
- ability to follow safety and cleanliness standards
- able to perform in fast-paced, loud, and sometimes wet environments

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- remains visible in the front of house and forward facing the main entrance
- occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- maintains a clean and organized work area
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
- manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- may occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server capacity
- fills out feature spot sheets accurately
- assists in general front of house maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning such as dusting fixtures and furniture, washing or wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
