Job Requirements
- High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns effectively
- Friendly and courteous manner in all interactions
- Regular attendance according to scheduling needs
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance including proper uniform and nametag
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations
- Ability to identify problems and assist in solutions
- Initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a hotel or related hospitality field is beneficial
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with guests and employees
- Knowledge of state liquor laws
- Strong listening skills to understand and clarify guest concerns
- Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Basic math skills for cashier reports and handling payments
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Be attentive of guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- Assist cashier in collection of money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed
- Know how to prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
- Pay out servers' and service attendants' tips if appropriate
- Know how to properly take reservations for outlets
- Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
