Job Requirements

  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs continuously
  • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Constant standing and walking required
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Must adhere to all company policies and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • Knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Ability to communicate in English sufficiently to understand inquiries and give simple instructions
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • Hold or be in process of obtaining a Food Handler Card

Job Duties

  • Provide arriving guests with a prompt, gracious greeting, and seat them comfortably with menus
  • Take reservations by phone and in person, providing helpful, accurate responses to inquiries
  • Ensure that tables are clean and set before seating guests and seating charts for station rotations are maintained
  • Tidy the service podium, keeping it organized, and maintain a supply inventory
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads, and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
