Job Duties
- Maintain consistent attention to the entrance of the restaurant and welcome all guests with a smile and appropriate greeting following HMSHost customer service standards
- Record customer reservations or seating times providing high-quality service
- Maintain and update restaurant seating charts
- Properly set up and maintain dining room areas before serving
- Assist with maintaining sufficient stock of roll-up silverware for shifts
- Seat guests and advise them on menus and beverage choices based on in-depth knowledge
- Oversee delivery and servicing of food and beverages
- Liaise between kitchen staff and floor staff to meet company standards
- Perform cashier and/or bus person duties as required including cashing out guests
- Follow HMSHost cash handling policies and maintain cash security
- Patrol assigned station refilling water and coffee, removing service items and condiments
- Perform additional team duties during downtime such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, preparing to-go food, and cleaning table condiments
