Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret training manuals and technical procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in food service industry
  • State food handler certification
  • Responsible beverage service (RBS) certification
  • Professional and friendly manner
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Communicate wait times and accommodate special seating requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
  • Collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth service
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of our members and guests
  • Operate cash register, process payments through cash or credit card handling and/or member account charges
  • Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, listening carefully, and following through
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Actively participate in events, programs, meetings and training
  • Represent the club professionally through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through
  • Work varied schedule including weekends, holidays, days and evenings
