Job Requirements

16 plus years old
Reliable transportation required
Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours
Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats
Ability to lift and carry pans and trays frequently weighing 25 pounds
Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Qualifications

Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
Bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties

Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the dining area
Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
Remains visible in the front of house and forward facing the main entrance
Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery method
Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’ needs
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs, and other seating
Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
May occasionally serve guests in a Carside To-Go or Server capacity
Fills out feature sheets and other required documentation
Assists in general front of house maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning, washing and wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
