Job Requirements

16 plus years old
Friendly and engaging demeanor
Prior work experience preferred
Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
Bi-lingual experience a plus
Reliable transportation required
Ability to build relationships

Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
Remains visible in the front of house and faced towards the main entrance
Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery standards
Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’ needs
Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
Accommodates special needs such as booster chairs, high chairs, and other assistance
Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
Occasionally works in Carside To-Go or Server roles when scheduled
Fills out feature promotion materials
Assists in general front of house maintenance including restrooms upkeep, light cleaning tasks, washing windows, and trash removal
Maintains restaurant curb appeal
