Job Requirements
- 16+ years old
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats
- Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and frequently lift trays weighing 25 pounds
- Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and coworkers
- Ability to transport and carry high chairs up to 15 pounds

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and faces the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
- Manages the waitlist when the restaurant is busy
- Occasionally serves guests in a Carside To-Go or Server Assistant role
- Assists in general Front of House maintenance including maintaining restrooms, light cleaning, washing windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
