Job Description
This job opening is for the position of Host (ess) at a restaurant establishment dedicated to providing guests with a warm and welcoming dining experience. Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous host/hostess experience preferred
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
- Reading, writing and superior communication skills required
- Ability to communicate confidently and create a friendly atmosphere
- Ability to carry 25+ pounds daily
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts
- Availability for shifts of 8+ hours
- Ability to perform repetitive foot and hand movements daily
- Ability to work in variable restaurant environment conditions including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and kitchen hazards

Job Duties
- Greets, engages, and seats guests in a timely manner
- Accommodates special needs such as boosters, highchairs, disabilities, and large parties
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Manages the wait list quoting accurate times
- Provides assistance to servers including bussing tables and running food
- Maintains clean and organized work and entry areas including windows and floors
- Checks the cleanliness of restrooms every 30 minutes
- Uses P.O.S. system to clock in/out and process orders
