Job Duties

  • Showcases a warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor to guests
  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
  • Follows Miller's Ale House policies including time recording
  • Greets guests warmly and acknowledges those nearby
  • Seats guests based on preferences and rotates seating for balanced workloads
  • Provides departing guests with a warm thank you and invitation to return
  • Supports service team in bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables
  • Supports front of house team to fulfill guest requests promptly
  • Manages guest placement for a positive experience and safety
  • Provides accurate wait times and recommends waiting options
  • Answers incoming calls professionally
  • Maintains neat and organized workstation and entrance
  • Completes host opening and closing side work
  • Ensures restrooms are clean and stocked
  • Communicates effectively with team members and management
  • Reports potential issues with guests, team members, or wait times immediately
  • Washes hands every 20 minutes
  • Keeps work areas clean and sanitized
  • Works to ensure safety and sanitation protocols
  • Supports front-of-house functions recognizing impact on guest experience
  • Exhibits friendly disposition and attentiveness
  • Communicates positively with team and management
  • Provides exceptional service throughout shift
  • Possesses strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Uses front door seating software
  • Sets up team members for success at shift change
  • Remains standing and walking for long periods
  • Performs reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Works with varying noise levels
