Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret seating charts
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public and coworkers
  • Basic communication skills in reading, speaking, and understanding instructions and correspondence

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables following customer service standards
  • Record customer reservations or seating times accurately
  • Maintain and update restaurant seating charts
  • Set up and maintain dining room areas before serving
  • Assist with stock of silverware for incoming shifts
  • Advise guests on menus and beverage choices
  • Oversee the delivery and servicing of food and beverages
  • Liaise between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest experience
  • Perform cashier and bus person duties as required including cashing out guests
  • Follow cash handling policies and maintain cash security
  • Refill water and coffee, remove service items and condiments
  • Perform additional team duties such as rolling silverware, expediting orders, washing dishes, preparing food for to-go areas, and cleaning table condiments
