Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Capacity to stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations calmly

Job Qualifications

  • Previous host, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy restaurant environment
  • Dependable and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming first impression of the restaurant
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus when appropriate
  • Communicate with servers and management to maintain smooth service flow
  • Monitor dining room activity and adjust seating plans as needed
  • Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menus, and hotel amenities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
  • Assist with to-go orders or guest inquiries when needed
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
