Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Basic mathematic skills and ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • TABC certification for serving alcohol if 18 years of age
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods move at a rapid pace bend twist and lift products weighing up to 35 pounds

  • TABC certification for serving alcohol if 18 years of age
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive creating a positive first impression
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Answer incoming phone calls take and fill to-go and curbside orders clean organize and stock menus and perform other assigned side work
  • Track table status and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient and balanced table assignments coordinate with servers and bussers to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
  • Take names and phone numbers for the waiting list and quote accurate wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available
  • Clearly communicate wait times and manage guest expectations provide updates as needed and ensure guests are informed of any changes
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally provide information about the menu and specials as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station ensure that the waiting area and entrance are tidy and welcoming
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations relay any special requests or issues to the appropriate team members
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and efficiency escalating to management if necessary
