Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending and twisting
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables according to customer service standards
  • Record customer reservations and seating times accurately
  • Maintain and update restaurant seating charts
  • Set up and maintain dining room areas before service
  • Assist with stocking silverware for incoming shifts
  • Advise guests on menu and beverage choices with in-depth knowledge
  • Oversee delivery and servicing of food and beverages
  • Liaise between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform cashier and busser duties as needed including cashing out guests
  • Follow cash handling policies and maintain cash security
  • Patrol assigned stations to refill water and coffee and remove service items
  • Perform additional duties during downtime such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, preparing to-go food, and cleaning tables
